• Setting up your SIP Account (Generic SIP Account)

    If your SIP provider is not on our preconfigured list, don’t worry. Acrobits Softphone is still very easy to set up. Just follow the directions below.

    Upon opening Acrobits Softphone for the first time you will be taken to the New SIP Account screen. Tap on Generic SIP Account.

    Tap on the Title line and enter the title. People often enter the name of the provider here, but you can put whatever you prefer.

    Tap on the username line and enter your username.

    Tap on the password line and enter your password.

    Tap on the domain line and enter your domain. For a lot of providers, it will just be their name.com, e.g. voipcheap.com, callcentric.com. For most providers, this should be all the information you need to enter.

    Tap on Save.

    That takes you to the SIP Accounts screen where your new account has been created. To add further accounts, tap on the “+” in the top right hand corner. Otherwise tap on Settings.

    Then tap on Done.

    That takes you to the keypad. You’ll see the green handset next to the name of your provider on the top left. Now you’re ready to start making calls!
